Mental Wellbeing
It is paramount that we prioritise our mental health and workers look after one another. Depending on the work environment, talking about mental health can be awkward and at times frowned upon.
The difficult part might be to change the work environment into one that is accepting of mental health discussions. It’s okay if the work environment does not change, discussions can be made behind closed doors or within interpersonal discussions.
Managers who are concerned for their employee’s mental wellbeing show their willingness to take care of them beyond the duty of care they have at work. The benefits of positive mental wellness are attributed to increased productivity and reductions in staff churn.
